Scholarship Winners

Lou & Dolly DeFilippo Scholarship

Team DeFilippo Family offers two $1,000 scholarships to a deserving male and female in the senior class based on academic achievement, leadership, citizenship and involvement in school activities.

The first two winners of the Lou & Dolly DeFilippo Scholarship were announced at an Honors Assembly held at Derby High School on June 9th.

Adam Cirillo and Amra Velagic are the first recipients of the scholarship established by Team DeFilippo Family (TD Family) in 2006.

TD Family established the scholarships in memory of the late great coach, Lou DeFilippo and his wife Dolly.

Adam is the son of Diana and our Gary Cirillo and will attend Sacred Heart University in the Fall.

Amra will attend Southern Connecticut State University in the Fall.. Both are super kids and were most appreciative.
